This page explains how cancellations, changes, and refunds work when you book through museumticket.istanbul. We've designed our policies to be straightforward — so you always know where you stand.
Cancelling Your Booking
You can cancel your booking directly from your account — no email needed, no waiting.
When you cancel | What happens |

More than 24 hours before your visit | Full refund to your original payment method. |
Less than 24 hours before your visit | No refund. If you haven't viewed your e-ticket yet, you may exchange your booking for a different museum or date. |
After the experience has started | No refund. No exchange. |
No-show (you don't attend) | No refund. No exchange. |
To cancel, go to your Tickets page, tap the booking, and select "Cancel Booking." You can also email us at [email protected].
Changing Your Booking
Need to adjust your plans? You can make changes directly from your Tickets page — it's self-service, instant, and free.
What you want to change | How it works |
|---|---|
Date and/or time | Free. Change it yourself from your Tickets page before the scheduled start time. |
Different museum or experience | Available from your Tickets page. If the new experience costs more, you pay the difference securely via Stripe. |
All changes must be made before the original scheduled start time of your experience.

Cancellation by Service Provider or Force Majeure
If your experience is cancelled by the service provider or due to circumstances beyond anyone's control — such as severe weather, government restrictions, natural disasters, or public health emergencies — you'll receive a full refund automatically. No action needed from you.
We'll notify you by email and WhatsApp as soon as we're aware of any cancellation.
Our Guarantee
We stand behind every booking with our Ticket and Experience Guarantee:
- Wrong ticket? — if we deliver the wrong date, time, or ticket type, we'll fix it immediately or give you a full refund.
- Ticket not working? — if your QR code doesn't work at the entrance due to our error, our team resolves it in real time — usually within minutes.
- Guide didn't show up? — we arrange a replacement or give you a full refund.
- Museum closed unexpectedly? — full refund or free rebooking, your choice.

How Refunds Work
- Where — refunds are sent to the original payment method you used (same card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay).
- When — we initiate refunds within 1 business day. It takes 3–5 business days to appear in your account (up to 10 for some international cards).
- Amount — you receive the full booking price.
